Our goals are clear (working
alongside voluntary and statutory organisations upon which we strongly depend)
to:
* Support Children and Adults with Learning Disabilities
and their family carers. *
* Provide respite care and other practical services
to meet needs. *
* Represent their interests and campaign on their
behalf *
* Offer individual and general support and information.
*
Mencap have provided care in the community for over forty years, ensuring respite to family carers as well as investing in the development of our children and young adults with learning difficulties, not forgetting our comprehensive welfare support, which has proven to be a valuable service within our local community. We are extremely proud of the success of our projects and we continue to try and improve and expand on the services that we currently run. However we couldnt achieve this without the help of our volunteers and new volunteers are always welcome.

Richmond Mencap is registered as a charity in accordance with
the Charity Act 1960 reference no.289697 and affiliated to the Royal Mencap
Society.
